About Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru
Kempegowda International Airport is India’s third-busiest airport and South India’s primary technology-city gateway, handling around 37 million passengers a year. Terminal 2, known as the "Terminal in a Garden" for its biophilic design, opened in 2022 and handles a growing share of traffic alongside Terminal 1.
It is operated by Bangalore International Airport Ltd and runs two parallel runways. Bengaluru carries a heavy mix of domestic business travel and long-haul international routes, including nonstop services to the United States, the Gulf and Europe.
