Chennai International Airport

Chennai International Airport is the principal gateway to South India and one of the country’s busiest, handling around 22 million passengers a year. It runs domestic terminals plus a dedicated international terminal, with a new integrated terminal added in recent years.

It is one of the few major metro airports still operated directly by the Airports Authority of India, and carries strong connectivity to the Gulf, Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka.

Duty-free and retail are concentrated in the international terminal, with a distinct South Indian character across retail and F&B, plus value-oriented convenience and dining in the domestic terminals.

Growing international traffic is steadily expanding the retail and food offer at the terminals.
